Illustration/Poster Design

Endangered Species Symposium

This project was a college assignment in which we were asked to illustrate any animal we wanted and then create a charity poster. I’m very inspired by the World Wildlife Fund. I admire the posters that they create that have an emotional impact on the viewer. I created the panda as the focal point for the poster and the panda pulls the viewer through the story. I have the black dripping off him filling in the word “oil” in the altered spelling of “Evolution” (Evoilution). I altered the tittle over the “i’s” in “Extinction” to continue the drip down the design. I had the bear’s paw hang over the branch and drip down the right-hand side of the image leading to the poster information at the bottom. I carefully used hierarchy in the design to guide the reader from the top and lead them to the bottom.
